Battery Round-Up

It’s time to clean out old batteries. It may not seem like a big deal, but old batteries can cause all sorts of problems in the landfill and recycling center AND many are illegal to toss into the trash. Host a battery round-up where batteries from staff and students at school are collected, sorted, then properly prepared for recycling. CSWD will provide education, collection buckets, and delivery of collected batteries to CSWD Environmental Depot, at no cost. All you need to provide are the sorters, batteries and a positive impact. Frederick Tuttle MS collected, sorted, and prepared over 200 pounds of batteries in 2023! Can be combined with A Future Built On Batteries lesson or run solo.
