What makes this Special Materials?

Plywood and oriented strand board (OSB) that has never been painted or stained is considered Special Materials because it can be recycled into raw materials for new particle board when kept separate from other construction waste. Clean OSB and Plywood are banned from the landfill under CSWD’s Solid Waste Management Ordinance. These materials are banned from trash disposal statewide when the amount generated meets the conditions under Vermont’s Architectural Waste Law (Act 175).
